I'm still having fun creating holiday cards, but I've moved on from the kits and into doing my own thing this week. I've gotten to play with some new Close To My Heart dies and stamps and broke out my trusty watercolor palette. And see, not so tidy when it's not all laid out for me. 😉 Creative chaos reigns.

Nothing like doing your own thing when creating cards. Wishing you lots of luck with them all - when do you think you will have enough of them ready for the coming holiday season?
ReplyDeleteRemember a creative desk is a chaotic one.

Hi Heather. Looks like you are rally having fun there with all those bits and pieces. I like those tree Christmas cards. Well done.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I loves creative chaos! So awesome! I need to make Halloween cards for the kiddos tonight and get them in the mail before we go! It is a case of so much to do and so little time...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I enlarged the photo and WOW such glittery fun. Adorable cards. I don't know where time goes, but seems the days just aren't long enough to get fun things done. I love your window too. Miss that in my craft space. Have a fun week.
ReplyDeleteI tend to do my own cards rather than work from a kit. I like the look of the one on your desk. Hope you'll show us some more!

Hello Heather!!! First, thanks for the visit and lovely comment you left me earlier and OF COURSE you can come live with me! (Grin) Especially if you do laundry - (she says with an even Bigger Grin on her face!) After reading your post I scrolled down a bit and I am loving your cards, Girl... and feeling a wee bit jealous because I have not even started mine, but next week I hope. Have a wonderful Wednesday from Lynne in Canada (#3)
ReplyDeleteMm Heather still looks pretty tidy to me, but loving the blue and white cards, well done! Shaz in Oz.x 31
ReplyDeleteGood on you for branching out and trying your own card style. That is half the fun using up all our stash.

Love your cards - the tree ones are cute but I'm really loving the blue and white one - stunning, and that's a great 'Winter' die you've got there too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by earlier, sorry I'm late!

Hi there thanks for popping by and your kind comments. Your desk looks very neat to me :-) - though I have tidied up now. The kit cards are nice- I did some last year as my class wanted to do some kits but I usually do my own thing - but with lots of inspiration from other more talented crafters :-) Anne x #23
ReplyDeleteHi Heather, it happens to us all when there are jobs need doing crafting has to wait. Your desk will still be there when you have time to get back to it. I planned to start making Christmas cards in August and now it's October and I think I've made two! Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and happy belated woyww, Angela x 17
ReplyDeleteThose cards are cute, cute, cute! It's easy to fall into the chaos of creating when you get in the groove. Just enjoy it! :)

creative chaos rocks! have a great weekend creating, Vicky
ReplyDeleteNice cards, like the use of the negative. Thanks for visiting BJ#21
ReplyDeleteHa ha, well it might be creative but it certainly is not chaotic :) Love your winter theme there. I have quite a few snowflake dies, actually, quite a lot :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by too. Have a good week.
I like your workspace, it looks friendly - just the sort of place to while away a happy hour or two! KIts are a great kick starter aren't they, giving you the idea to then go freestyle :-D

Nice busy desk, Heather. I know the feeling, with other commitments robbing us of the time available to make art. It's been a while since I sat in my studio! Thank you for your lovely comment - it's amazing what the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil combo can achieve. It feels so natural and intuitive that it is easy to forget one isn't working with pen and paper. Never mind about being late with WOYWW - I always say that if it's before 11.59 p.m. on Tuesday night, you're still valid lol!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, and happy belated WOYWW,

ReplyDeleteI am in the same situation: getting things done ( finally thank God! ) and don´t have time to create. My head is full of creations though... :)
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHi Heather! Your Christmas cards look great! I know what it's like to have life distract you from craft time!
